You might wonder why you don’t see me on Facebook or Instagram. These media just never felt safe to me and are causing a lot of ‘polarisation’, useless distraction and other trouble worldwide, while their owners only get richer and more powerful by us using them. In my life I have always tried to live by my principles. The end doesn’t justify the means is an important one I try to live by. I have a mastodon profile but I am aware little people know about it’s existence. I don’t want to force you going there, just let you know, in case. If one day we can reach a critical mass there ... .
Same goes for Spotify. Until now I have most of my albums published there. Spotify does not support but destroys original art, supports weapon industry, prefers AI generated music or right wing podcasts if those generate more dollars then original music. Artists in a niche like us will seldom earn more then they will invest in getting their album published on Spotify. And users live in the illusion that we get paid if they pay their subscription.That is why my newest album will only be available on bandcamp. If you don’t know it, please get to know it. It’s a medium/website on which artists publish their albums and get a fair fee for the sale of their downloadable albums, cd’s or vinyls. You can just use their player in a webbrowser to listen free to content and then maybe buy tracks or albums to support the artist you like.
